The quality of cameras in smartphones has reached astonishing heights – and so have the prices. AI-driven memory price increases are certainly to blame, but those 200MP sensors aren’t cheap either, and there are a lot of them. If you’re in the market for a camera powerhouse, you’ll want to pay attention to the latest deals on the vivo X500 series and the Oppo Find X10 series.
vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max: Freebies Galore
The vivo X500 series went global at the end of October, led by the vivo X500 Pro Max. It has some of the best cameras (especially when it comes to video) – check our review for more details. The Pro Max offers a 50MP main camera (1/1.28” Sony Lytia L910 LOFIC sensor), a 200MP telephoto (1/1.4” Samsung ISOCELL HP0) with a 3.5x/85mm lens, and a 50MP ultra-wide (1/2.75” sensor). The vanilla X500 Pro shares much of the same DNA but in a slightly smaller package.
For a limited time, both the vivo X500 Pro and X500 Pro Max come with a bundle of freebies that make the deal even sweeter. Depending on the retailer, you can get a pair of wireless earbuds, a protective case, and a screen protector – all at no extra cost. Some regions are also throwing in a vivo Watch or a power bank. These freebies are valued at around $150, so it’s a solid incentive to pick up one of these camera beasts.
Where to Find the Best vivo Deals
The freebies are available through vivo’s official online store and major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, and carrier stores. The promotion runs until the end of November or while supplies last. If you’re eyeing the X500 Pro Max, be sure to check for additional trade-in credits – some carriers are offering up to $500 off with an eligible device.
The vivo X500 Pro starts at $899, while the Pro Max will set you back $1,099. Both are available in Midnight Black and Sunset Gold. The freebies apply to both models, but the Pro Max also comes with a complimentary 6-month subscription to vivo’s cloud storage service.
Oppo Find X10 Series: Small Discount, Big Value
The Oppo Find X10 series, which launched earlier this year, is now seeing a modest discount. The Find X10 and Find X10 Pro are both $50 off their regular prices at select retailers. That brings the Find X10 down to $749 and the Find X10 Pro to $899. It’s not a massive price drop, but for a flagship phone with top-tier specs, every little bit helps.
The Find X10 Pro features a 50MP main camera with a 1-inch sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto, and a 50MP ultra-wide. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, has a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, and a 5,000mAh battery with 100W fast charging. The vanilla Find X10 is no slouch either, with a 6.4-inch display and similar camera setup minus the periscope lens.
Why Consider the Oppo Find X10?
Even with a small discount, the Find X10 series offers excellent value. The build quality is premium, the cameras are versatile, and the software experience (ColorOS 14) is smooth and feature-rich. If you’re looking for a flagship that doesn’t break the bank, the Find X10 is a solid choice. The discount is available at Amazon, Oppo’s official store, and select carriers. No freebies here, but the lower price is a straightforward saving.
Other Notable Deals This Week
Beyond the vivo and Oppo offers, there are a few other deals worth mentioning. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is seeing a $100 discount at Best Buy, bringing it to $1,199. The Google Pixel 8 Pro is $150 off at the Google Store, now $849. And if you’re in the market for a budget phone, the Nothing Phone (2a) is $50 off, making it just $299.
These deals are likely tied to early Black Friday promotions, so expect more to come. As always, we recommend checking multiple retailers to ensure you’re getting the best price. Also, keep an eye on trade-in values – sometimes a trade-in can net you a bigger discount than a direct price cut.
Should You Upgrade Now or Wait?
With the holiday shopping season approaching, it’s tempting to wait for bigger discounts. However, the vivo X500 Pro freebies are a limited-time offer and may not return. The Oppo Find X10 discount is modest but could be the best we see until Black Friday. If you need a new phone now, these deals are worth considering.
If you can hold out a few more weeks, you might find even better offers, especially on older models. But for those eyeing the latest camera flagships, the vivo X500 Pro with freebies is arguably the best deal this week. The Oppo Find X10 series, while only slightly discounted, remains a compelling option for photography enthusiasts.
Final Thoughts
Smartphone prices are climbing, but deals like these help soften the blow. The vivo X500 Pro and Pro Max come with useful freebies that enhance the value proposition, while the Oppo Find X10 series offers a small but welcome discount. Whether you prioritize camera performance or overall value, there’s something here for you. Stay tuned for more deals as we approach the holiday season.
