Samsung has expanded the reach of its Certified Re-Newed program, making refurbished Galaxy smartphones available on Amazon.com in the United States for the first time. Previously, customers could only purchase these devices directly from Samsung’s own online store. The move to Amazon marks a significant step in making high-quality refurbished phones more accessible to a broader audience.
The Amazon storefront now lists a selection of Certified Re-Newed models, though not the entire lineup. Shoppers can browse the available devices, compare prices, and read customer reviews—all within the familiar Amazon interface. This integration simplifies the buying process for those who prefer Amazon’s fast shipping and return policies.
What Makes Certified Re-Newed Different?
Samsung’s Certified Re-Newed program stands out from typical refurbished offerings. Each device is serviced by Samsung specialists using genuine Samsung parts, ensuring that the phone meets the company’s rigorous standards. This includes replacing the battery with a new one, so you don’t inherit the wear and tear of the original owner.
Before a phone is deemed Certified Re-Newed, it must pass 147 quality checks. These tests cover everything from the display and camera to the battery and connectivity, ensuring that the device functions like new. The process is designed to give buyers peace of mind, knowing that their refurbished phone has been thoroughly vetted by the manufacturer itself.
Genuine Parts and Expert Service
One of the key advantages of buying a Certified Re-Newed Samsung phone is the use of genuine parts. Third-party refurbishers may use aftermarket components, which can affect performance and longevity. Samsung’s program guarantees that every replaced part is authentic, maintaining the device’s integrity and reliability.
Moreover, the service is performed by Samsung-trained technicians who understand the intricacies of each model. This expertise ensures that the phone is restored to optimal condition, not just cosmetically but functionally as well.

Why Buy a Certified Re-Newed Phone?
Refurbished phones offer a compelling alternative to buying brand new. They are typically priced significantly lower than their new counterparts, yet they can provide a nearly identical experience. With Samsung’s Certified Re-Newed program, the quality is assured, and you’re getting a device that has been restored to like-new condition.
Environmental benefits are another reason to consider refurbished. By choosing a re-newed phone, you’re extending the lifecycle of a device and reducing electronic waste. Samsung’s program aligns with the growing demand for sustainable tech options.
Warranty and Support
Certified Re-Newed phones come with a one-year warranty from Samsung, covering defects in materials and workmanship. This is a significant advantage over many third-party refurbished sellers, who may offer shorter warranties or none at all. Additionally, the devices are eligible for Samsung’s software updates and support, ensuring you stay up to date with the latest features and security patches.
How to Find Certified Re-Newed Phones on Amazon
